Born Kyle Edward Singler on May 4, 1988, Kyle was raised in Medford, Oregon by parents Ed and Kris Singler with siblings Katen and EJ. Kyle stems from a very athletic family lineage.
Kyle was a multi-sport athlete at South Medford High School, competing in basketball, football and baseball. He stared as a four-year letter winner for the varsity basketball team, leading the Panthers to a 110-10 record while scoring 2,207 points. South Medford won the 2007 Oregon state championship game against Lake Oswego and future NBA All-Star Kevin Love.
Kyle’s hobbies include drawing, paintball, board games, Frisbee golf and outdoor activities. He’s adventurous and will never back down from a new challenge. Kyle’s favorite athletes are the late Pete Maravich and Indiana Pacers GM and NBA legend, Larry Bird. Kyle graduated with a Visual Arts degree from Duke University.
Every Mother’s Day weekend Kyle hosts his Annual Kyle Singler Open, now called The Southern Oregon Singler Open in conjunction with the Cota-Singler Auction (Chad Cota, Oregon native and former strong safety in the NFL) and the EJ Singler Skills Challenge. All proceeds of the event are given back to Kids Unlimited, a non profit kids program in Medford, Oregon. Kyle believes the best gift is giving back to the community that has supported him from the very beginning.
