Kyle Singler will be there to see whether the Detroit Pistons keep their NBA draft lottery pick.
The small forward will be the team’s representative at the lottery May 20. The Pistons could move into the top three — or they could lose their pick altogether if a team below them moves up. The Pistons have the eighth-best odds in the draft and have an 82.4% chance of keeping their pick.
Singler recently was interviewed by the Ashland Mail Tribune in his native Oregon, and had this to say about his lottery assignment: “I would say I’m a fairly lucky guy. I don’t want to tell what my lucky charm is, but I’ve had lucky moments. Do I think we’ll get the No. 1 pick? I doubt it, but I would like to see us move up from what we are expected to get.”
